Nabukeera registers for PLE
Aisha Nabukeera, the 14 year old girl who was burnt by her step mother in 2006, is among the 486,312 pupils who have registered to sit the primary Leaving Examination this year.

Nabukeera will sit her exams at City Parents Primary School in Lubaga, Kampala district.
On being confirmed as one of the candidates for this year, Nabukeera said her dream had come true.

“I was burnt after I had just been promoted to this class(primary seven),” she said, “I had started thinking about things like primary seven and things like PLE because it’s the peak of primary level but that was ended by the problem.”

Misery doesn’t last and sometimes when you are tourted,you get stirred in life-that is exactly what has happened with Aisha Nabukeera.The 14-year-old innocent girl who became a victim of one of the most greatful abuses. she is now happily focused on her studies.
Nabukeera then had little hope to live and never did she  have hope of returning to school and careful treatment she got better and she is among the thousands of pupils sitting for the primary leaving examinations.
“I’m extremely excited because I never thought  that it would be possible for me to return to school after I got burnt.”

Five schools hunt for Nabukeera
Five other schools have joined st lawrence schools in a move to her fire victim Aisha Nabukeera join them. Among them are st .Micheal Secondary School in Mukono and Seeta High School along kampala jinja Road.

St.Micheal and seta High school both logged in there requests asking the little girl to join there respective campuses, according to Nabukeera’s guardian FRANK GASHUMBA.

Gashumba says that Seeta High picked interest in Nabuukera after she attended the Nabagereka inspired Kisaakate held at the school campus.

“We have been contacted by more than 5 schools all showing interest in giving Nabukeera free Education but we’re considering all offers on different levels” said Gashumba,”We have to look at the performance of the school at national level and there motives before we accept .For now, we are considering to choose between three St.Lawrence, Seeta High and St.Micheal Mukono.”

St.Lawrence was the very first school to offer Nabukeera a scholarship.
The management of st Lawrence schools offered her a life time scholarship to study at any of there campuses until she finishes her studies.
